Why Me!!

Often, the situations I end up in make me say this highly hyped phrase over and over again “It’s a funny world out there….”

Why is it that some days, you get up from bed and simply for no reason feel that today’s your day and nothing can possibly go wrong and why is it that on some days anything that can possibly go wrong goes wrong?? Murphy's law I guess...

Let’s take my case… this day was probably the most zemblanitous day (I know what you’re thinking… I googled the antonym for serendipitous!!) of my life…

Date: 9/3/09

Firstly I got up late,nothing usual, just managed to reach class in time only to realize that I had forgotten some books still that’s but natural. My classes got over without any problem, guess it was the lull before the storm. I get back to my hostel at around 1 o’clock but I had a digital logic lab model exam at 5 pm. So I thought I’d watch a movie and take a nap before cramping my brain with the experiments. Characteristically I overslept and barely managed to reach the lab on time only to realize that I had forgotten to wear shoes which were a necessity there. Then the teacher announced that the test has been postponed but we were asked to do another exercise instead fair enough… So we went about doing it or atleast trying to do it. After failing to make it work after half-a-dozen tries we realized that the we had a defective breadboard ... so we changed it and the first time we gave the current to it the IC burnt!! Then the pulse generator simply refused to work! I ofcourse, as luck would have it, had a very annoying teacher who took personal strain in making clear that the IC had burnt because of my handling it and that the pulse generator didn’t work because of my Midas touch… hmph!!. So as the agony finally ended… I managed to just scrape through one truly zemblanitous day…


PS: well at least the day inspired me to discover ZEMBLANITY!!
